BUT THE WORKERS ARE FEW
he felt great pity for the crowds that came because their problems were so great and they didn’t know where to go for help. They were like sheep without a shepherd. He said to his disciples, the harvest is so great, but the workers are so few. So pray to the lord who is in charge of the harvest ask him to send out more workers his fields .( Matthew 9:36:38)
This passage of scripture really hits home for the as we approach almost new year and as head into December imagine Jesus Christ thousands of year ago saying “ the harvest is great ……… but the workers are few. He felt great pity because their problems we so extreme, the more I fight here in springs of hope Mai mahiu Kenya, in spiritual battle for these people then I understand how Christ felt as he saw a world full .of the lost and broken with so few people ready and willing to help them. I don’t know which is more sad. this ,is the reason I feel honored ,privileged and humbled to be a worker for this harvest (peter 4:16) as we all are called to the great commission (Matthew 28:16:20) not everyone is able to serve in full time ministry but were all called in such a manner. That’s the privilege of being called by Christ’s name. serving him and being a harvester of people no matter where we are at work,at home, in our circles of influence. were are all harvesters; we are one body, we have the same spirit and we have all been called to the same glorious future Ephesians 4:4)Nlt ) were all one –united by the same spirit , with the same call but serving differently as different parts of the body of Christ and in accordance with our specific gifts . I keep repeating this SPRINGS OF HOPE MININTRY. I am part of the extended family like your arm or hand and the moment am not able to function fully . imagine the body of Christ trying to function fully with a huge cost on its entire leg. That’s what am looking at heading into the coming year.
Financially am totally low behind support what this means is that ive just few people in RVAIFT VALLEY ) the school of missionary who are actually supporting my ministry. 3 people who are interested with what am doing. It leaves me with the heavy heartedness of the possibility of making some kingdom sacrifices ,currently am looking at sacrificing on starting computer classes to this kid who has not been able to join secondary school due to lack of finances from their parents though I don’t have enough facilities i.e. computers printers benches chairs house rent there is truly graceful way to approach this except to humble ourselves before the rest of our body and come together in prayer united in call and purposes. Its how Christ called us to function as a body. All of you can function as body. All of you can help by sowing into the ministry here at spring of hope ministry of mai mahiu, through prayers or gifts and encouragement. I appreciate you and and am honored to serve along with you for one purpose . if you feel God has blessed you and has called to give one encourage you to give and pray as Christ leads.
If you are really eager to give isn’t important how much you are able to give. God want you to give what you don’t have
“you must make up your own mind as to how much you should give.dont give reluctantly or response to pressure. For God loves the person who gives cheerfully.(Corinthians 8:2 and 9:7
To have computer studies for this kid will be be a great opportunity not only for the Spring of hope for people with HIV/AIDS to have somewhere that this kid can go but also where we are able to help and counsel people all around this division but there are so many hurting people right in our own community we are all looking forward to being able to work with friends in ministry and help the community. In order to serve on this computers classes my account need to be up to the date 60,000 by the mid yo end of next January. This is not the only a call to give but a serious call for prayers . myself and my one of my friends and this families with HIV and AIDS have been meeting everyday to pray over this until the deadline and will be fasting for 3 days to receive breakthrough . I ask that you would understand united with us in prayer. Am doing this in faith and the understanding that God is faithful to those who ask ,seek knock, and agree on something in its name.
Those of who is strong and able in the faith needs to step in and hand to those who falter and not in just do what is most convenient for this ministry. strength is for the service not status. Each one of us need to look after the good of the people around us asking ourselves how can I help? That’s exactly Jesus did. He didn’t make it easy for himself by avoiding people’s troubles but waded right in and helped out I took on the trouble of the troubled is the way scripture put it even if it was written in the scripture long time ago you can be sure its written for us (roman15:1-5)
This is our call here at Mai Mahiu spring of hope to wade in with those who are troubled just as Christ did. Not back away and stay to ourselves leaving the work to someone else.
Thank you to everyone who takes the time to read these message. I try and share things that have been on my heart and going on my life each time but sometimes its hard cutting it down to just two side of a sheet paper. If any of you have any thought about how I could inform you better of what’s going on or what’s am doing or any question that you feel haven’t been answered. To this therefore we are able to feed at least 38 families, including 50 kids both infected and affected by HIV/AIDS and also 42 street children. A good example is that the project has continously fed eighteen families in one week, then in following week 20 families are fed. In total, the budget per week is about 7000 Ksh ($120 USD).

STREET CHILDREN

Everyday lunch for 42 street kids would be a minimal cost but of benefit to every child.

Cost for each child: one plate of ugali and cabbage, 50 Ksh x 42 = 2100 Ksh ($35). A drink of tea: 10 Ksh x 42 = 420 Ksh ($8).
if you multiply:
2100 x 7 days = 14700
420 x 7 days = 2940
TOTAL  = 17640 per week

TOTAL COST OF PROGRAMS

Street children 17,640
HIV/AIDS families 7,000
Weekly total 24,640

Monthly total 98,560

HELP NEEDED

I have been unable to cater for clothing and education due to financial instability mostly for the street children, and kids that are both infected and affected by HIV/AIDS and stigma.

I have been looking to all ways that can make this project gross to the fullest - ie sending kids to school, providing accomodation, medical, and clothing. However, due to many challenges I have been facing - like no sponsorships - I use my own money whenever I'm able to do it, or else I help whenever I get help from friends.

If you are able to support in some way, be it financially or in other ways, please contact zailousm - at - yahoo.com

Regards,

Zack
Chairman, Springs of Hope
